filth...

So I was checking out my "go to" site when it comes to news regarding the latest films, inside industry info, what is in production, etc... I check it out because I usually really like the unbiased reviews by their writers. But lately I've been seeing more and more promotion of these terrible films. I am convinced that the writers are getting paid or getting special treatment from company's to put out good reviews. (like entourage's comic-con episode). And how convienent that this post is directly related to this years comic-con and a review of the new Friday 13th trailer... this was the last straw.

I made a little statement and it seems I have stirred up quite the discussion.

If you're bored check out the recent discussion on the trailer and its relation to the latest trends of hollywood.

15 days later

well its been a busy 15 days since my last update and I apologize to those who do take the effort and check out the site every once in a while. (It turns out...people do)

I have been all over. Mostly ithaca.

I spent 4 straight days by my lonesome in a tent at grass roots...partially for the money...but more for the experience. A writer I once knew told me that as a writer/storyteller it is essential to put yourself under extreme conditions...walk where you usually don't... it is here that we can gather a better understanding and breakdown of our characters and the environments they live in, and lately I've been trying that out any chance I can get.

Check out the photos courtesy of David Korman. http://kormandavidphotography.blogspot.com

I haven't had much time to take a look at my footage from Korea but when I do...you'll be the first to hear.

Stay tuned...lots to come.

temp. is rising

It is getting hotter and hotter here in Ithaca and I've been spending most of my time working mornings at the gyro stand for a few extra bucks. Using the afternoon hours to sit in the the pool and once it starts to cool off at night begin working on projects, it just gets too hot in this little studio to type for 4 hours.

I am currently writing an article for the college's magazine about my trip to S.Korea and Thailand. I happened to be flipping through the online version of the summer issue and found this on the 4-5 spread.

If you've got a minute scroll through to pages 4-5, and if your still interested, this is where my article will be posted in an upcoming issue. I'll let you know more details when that date comes.

Enjoy the night.

Homeward Bound...

So, I work with this cat named Phil. I call him Phillip, but that's beside the point. Today Phillip was in the middle of telling me how he was arrested for the first time when I began to drift off into his snaggletooth grin. And oh boy, was Phillip excited about revisiting his good ol' times, I could tell by the gleam in those beady little eyes. He was mumbling something about ordering something he shouldn't have through the cable...something...pornography...something...house he had been staying at, at the time...something...I dunno.

I thought wait, what?!...Cable!? But then my phone rang.

It was my good friend Matt. He was ecstatic for the upcoming 4th of July celebration and told me all about the festivities back home.

I thought to myself...
yep, its about time I came home for a few days.

I couldn't help but look up at Phillip and feel ashamed for being distracted during his story. "Who cares about yellow teeth anyway!", I thought. Because there's nothing better then revisiting those good ol' times! Even it means you might lose your belligerent friend to a hippy in a van or knowing that throwing up means you've had a good night. No sir...there's nothing better.

you heard it.

I'll be home Thursday.
